Lisa Srok is an abstract artist who spent the majority of her life living and creating in Southeast TN at the foothills of the Appalachian Mtns.

Formal training in painting and drawing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga fueled Lisa’s fascination with ambiguity, unpredictability, and the dynamics of observation.

Her intuitive practice is a visual investigation that captures a fleeting moment while exploring the fluidity of time. Lisa is inspired by ephemeral perception, luminous energy, and the startling joy of discovering unexpected beauty.

Lisa’s introspective art making is driven by her need to process, her captivation with contemplation, her desire to understand. She is compelled to create as her art making provides purpose and presents meaning.

The therapeutic qualities of art have carried her, with unwavering consistency, through both the despair and delight of personal growth.

Deep gratitude for the value of creative expression motivated Lisa to earn her Master of Arts in Art Therapy in 2023, so she can hold space to share the healing powers of art and support insightful reflection. In Jan 2024 she relocated to Maryland for a professional opportunity in her career as a credentialed art therapist and licensed counselor.

Lisa remains dedicated to art-making and continues to practice daily creative expression. Whether it is putting pen to paper, making a mark on a surface, arranging an intentional composition—she consciously creates every day
